Owing to the popularity of the payment gateway and being a fast, reliable mobile money payment gateway with utmost security, Meetanshi has developed Digicel MonCash Payments for Magento 2 extension. Mon Cash, the money management service, allows the registered customers to make financial transactions from their mobile phones. It was launched in 2010 in Haiti and is a registered trademark of Digicel authorized by the Central Bank of Haiti.
Accept mobile money payments in Haitian Gourde currency from the Haitian customers in Magento 2 store by integrating it with MonCash payment gateway using the module.
Using the extension, the merchants can:
- Receive payment for goods and services electronically in the form of eCash.
- Track the receipt of payments on a phone, tablet, and/or computer
- Deposit the eCash as cash in the merchants' bank account at any time by a simple request to the bank.
- Withdraw their money at a MonCash Agent or at the bank.
Facilitate the customers to pay securely with the help of Digicel money transfer for Magento 2, no matter where they are located in Haiti. The extension uses the hosted payment method and OTP verification of the mobile number for successful payments.
Account & Pricing
To commence using Digicel MonCash payments, create a FREE separate merchant account in MonCash. Integrate Magento 2 store with the payment gateway using the Client ID and Client Secret received during the registration. You require to Contact MonCash payment gateway for the pricing plans.

- Facilitates the admin to check the customer's MonCash payment details in the order view section in the backend.
NOTE: The extension works only with HTG (Haitian Gourde) currency.
How Does The Extension Work?
The admin can enable the extension to accept secure mobile money payments via Digicel's MonCash. The admin can enter the title of the payment method, display MonCash's logo, and enable sandbox mode if required. The admin can easily integrate the Magento 2 store with MonCash by entering the Client ID and Client Secret obtained while registration with MonCash. The admin can also enable auto invoice generation, select countries to allow using this payment method, display custom additional information on the checkout page, and configure sort order.
Once configured, the customers can select the Digicel MonCash payment method on the checkout page in the frontend and click the "Continue to Payment" button to get redirected to MonCash hosted payment page. Here, he has to enter the MonCash phone number and pin, click "Pay", verify the payment using OTP received on the registered phone number, and click "Send".
The customer can see the payment success message along with the transaction ID on MonCash hosted page.
The customer can also see the payment details under the "My Account" section in the frontend.
The admin can check the payment details in sales under the order view section in the backend.
Security & PCI Compliance:
Using the Digicel MonCash hosted payment method, whenever customers add products to the cart and proceed to checkout, they get redirected to the hosted payment gateway page to enter the phone number and their pin and complete the payment to place the order after OTP verification. The whole payment process is hosted by the Digicel MonCash Payment Gateway, and customers' card details are neither entered nor stored on the Magento 2 server and thus it ensures a secure payment process. The integration meets the SAQ A level of PCI compliance.
