How Does the Extension Work?
The admin can enable or disable the custom shipping attributes from the configuration section. The 'Manage Custom Attributes' grid allows the admin to add new, enable/disable, delete, or edit the custom shipping attributes.
The admin can enable or disable individual attribute, enter custom label, code, and select the the attribute input type from text field, text area, yes/no, multiple select, drop down, and date. The admin can also enter or set the default value of the attribute and choose to make the input mandatory for the customers.
Once the extension is configured correctly, the customers can fill the custom fields shown on the checkout page and customize their shipping. After successful order placement with the custom shipping attributes, the customers can find the input values in the my orders section. The admin can also find the attribute inputs provided by customers in the orders grid.
