To commence using the CCavenue payment gateway, create a FREE separate merchant account in CCAvenue. Integrate Magento 2 store with the payment gateway using the Merchant ID, Access Code, Encryption Key, and Gateway URL received during the registration. • The admin can enter a custom title and choose to show or hide the payment gateway logo on the front.
• The admin can enable the sandbox mode testing the CCAvenue payment gateway in Magento 2.

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin needs to enable the extension, enter a custom title, choose whether to display the CCAvenue logo, enable the sandbox mode as required, and enter details such as Merchant ID, Access Code, Encryption Key, and Gateway URL to connect their CCAvenuw merchant account. The admin needs to enable the debug mode & auto-invoicing feature as required, select the applicable countries, enter the minimum & maximum order amount, and the additional information that will be shown to the customers on the frontend.

Once configured, the CCAvenue payment method in Magento 2 is shown to the customers on the payments page. After selecting the CCAvenue payment method, the customers are redirected to a hosted payment page, where they are required to enter the payment information and complete the payment.

After a successful payment, the customers are redirected back to the Magento store, where they can find the complete payment details in the My Account section. The admin can also find the payment details in the backend Sales Order View section.

Security & PCI Compliance:

CCAvenue uses a hosted payment method, and thus the customers are redirected to a hosted page to complete the payments. On the hosted page, the customers are required to enter their details and complete the payment for the order. The complete process is hosted by the CCAvenue Payment Gateway. Thus the payment details are neither stored nor processed in the Magento 2 server, ensuring a secure payment process. The integration meets the SAQ A level of PCI compliance.
