Creating SEO-friendly URLs is a super simple way to improve your SEO. If you get it right, you’ll improve your organic search visibility, especially for low-volume long-tail keywords.

Choose an SEO-Friendly Permalink Structure:

If you want Google to recognize your content and associate it with certain search phrases, you’ll want to make sure your URL uses keywords relevant to your topic.

For example, if you’re writing about an epic Burning Man sunrise dance party you experienced, make sure your URL looks like this:

          www.example.com/epic-burning-man-sunrise-dance-party

Rather than this:

          www.example.com/?p=123

Which URL would you be more likely to click on?

The first one. You know exactly what you’re getting.

Your URL tells Google – and the people scanning Google’s search results – exactly what topic your content is about.

In other words, Google can understand it (because it’s SEO-friendly) and people can understand it (because it’s also user-friendly).

SeoFilterUrl for M2:

SeoFilterUrl is a module for Magento 2 to make the URLs from the layered filter navigation human readable and SEO-friendly. This module changes the links for layer navigation filter in catalog and search to improve the legibility of the URL and optimizes the URLs for search engines.

You can enable/disable it easily in the admin panel. It supports filterable attributes, categories, price filter and it works with configurable swatches.

Instead of electronics.html?color=23&price=100-200 you will get a beautiful readable URL like: electronics/p/color/black/p/price/from-100-to-200

SeoFilterUrl is simple and lightweight. It concentrates on one problem to allow you an easy integration in your individual system with no collision with other extensions.
