Back to topThe Google Review extension for Magento 2 makes it possible to directly import and show your Google Business Reviews. By entering your Google Account Details you can easily import, manage, and show all the reviews or filter them based on the score, locale, or the year per store view.
In this way, the content will be available in your own store which positively affects your SEO positions as all the content is readable and indexable by Google here as well. This extension automatically imports new Google Reviews into Magento.
The imported Reviews can be shown in sliders and widgets, by default the extension comes with a different slider and sidebar designs but you can also set your custom CSS to make it a perfect fit with your design.
Next to the review import and use functionality, the extension also comes with the Optional Google Badge and Google Review Opt-in Popup integration.
Account & Pricing
To use the Google Merchant Optin Review Popup and the Google Review Badge you will need an active Google Merchant account. This account is free of charge but only with an activated account, the extension can be used.
For importing your Google Reviews, a Google Cloud account is needed with active API details which are connected with your Google Business account.
Import and Show your Google Reviews
With the Google Review extension, you can import all your Reviews from your Google account into Magento 2. In this way, you can easily manage and show all your review in the front-end through the built-in widgets or through a newly created front-end page where all reviews can be shown. As the Google Reviews are imported in a GRID overview you can easily configure which reviews need to be shown based on the store-view, language, or rating.
It's also possible to create a filter in the front-end of the review overview. In this way you allow customers to filter based on review score, year, or language.
Next to the overview with all reviews, the Google Review plugin comes with 2 types of widgets, the Review Widgets, and the Review Sliders, which comes with the following designs;

Profit from the SEO value
When the unique content is directly imported into your store, it's not only easy to manage the reviews but it's also indexable by Google as your content.
Therefore we've added multiple SEO settings to improve the SEO value even more and get your reviews indexed as new content which is automatically supplemented on each new import. In this way, your review page keeps "Fresh", which can help to bring the search engines back more often. Anytime you can update your site more frequently, the better it is for your overall SEO efforts.
Structured Data
Next to the SEO content that can improve your Search Engine value, the extension has now the option to enable the Google Structured Data, using this function, the Structured Data of your Review score will be added to the source of the Page using a JSON markup.
Google Badge integration
Before known as the "Google Trusted Store" badge, Google now has a Google Reviews Badge. The badge simply just shows the Review score on all pages and will gain trustability at the customer side. To implement the Google Badge, your Google Merchant ID is required.
Google Review Optin-in integration
The Google Review survey opt-in Integration lets customers choose whether to participate in Google Customer Reviews and also transmits the necessary transaction information to Google. This script comes with this plugin which results in a popup on all order success pages with the question of whether merchants want to participate in Google Customer Reviews. The script will place the required Google Opt-in on the Confirmation page with the following script values;
- Your Merchant ID
- Customer Order ID
- Customer Email
- Customer Delivery Country
- Customer Estimated Delivery Date
