While onsite search is often neglected by online store owners, don’t fall into the same trap. Enhancing the user experience by making it more intuitive, user-centered and interactive will certainly resonate with the shoppers and turn your eCommerce store’s functionality into an effective tool for boosting conversions.
Being integrated with Sphinx, Solr and xSearch, Search Suit extension offers 2 search accuracy options, smart search autocorrect, related searches, search by a specific category or attribute, just to name a few, as well as a possibility to receive detailed reports on search activities.
extending the default Magento onsite search functionality
a complete set of tools for handling various types of onsite search queries
comprehensive analysis and systematization of onsite search results
3 advanced search engine pillars
xSearch. Being based on the number of times that a specific product attribute is used in the process of search, this metric allows for calculating the ‘search weight’ for every product.
Sphinx. This is a Linux- and Windows-based search engine for fulltext searching of extremely large databases.
You will be able to generate a fully-fledged Sphinx config file in a mouse click with a chance to choose between the pre-defined default settings and custom ones.
Solr. This is a ready-to-deploy, Lucene-based, open source engine for fulltext search. It can scale across many servers and enables real-time queries and data analysis across billions of documents.
Advanced search accuracy options
Being able to process both simple and complex queries, the extension offers 3 options for search accuracy:
any, i.e. products that contain the whole search query, its separate keywords, and their combinations
all, i.e. both the whole search query and all its separate words combinations)
exact, i.e. exact matches
Misspelled queries and typos
The smart Magento search will assist your customers in finding items even if they are misspelled. Moreover, you’ll have a chance to add synonyms for popular search queries. In case when misspelling occurs, shoppers will be offered a correct variant or a synonym. Besides, you will also be able to exclude stop words from the search process.
Analyzation of Magento search trends
Search Suit extension will assist you in finding the most sales-generating keywords based on the info about the most used by customers search enquires. You will be able to gather data on:
the number of purchases made after entering each search term
the amount of revenue that brings each search term
orders to hits ratio
views to hits ratio
the number of countries a certain product was searched from
Instant search results
Our Advanced Magento search plugin automatically and in a twinkle suggests results in the AJAX-based pop-up window. You also get a possibility to include such product details as SKU, price, ratings, and thumbnail, just to name a few and exclude items that are out-of-stock.
Maximally flexible search results
Include About Us, Refund Policy and other CMS pages & catalog categories into the results that are seen by your customers. Use related search and allow shoppers to search items solely one attribute (color, brand, and manufacturer, for instance).
Search priority for product attributes
The extension uses the unique xSearch engine that runs its own algorithm and helps calculate the ‘search weight’ of each and every product. In addition, Search Suite extension allows for defining the priority for product attributes, thus changing the way the 'search weight' metric is calculated.
