Overview

How many times do you have such situations when you are kicked out of the admin panel because of session timeouts? You could work on the content for a product or a static page. Perhaps, it took a long time or you took a coffee break. But after you clicked the save button, you were logged out. As a result, you lost the work you had done and you had to log in again and repeat it all from scratch. By default, the PHP session expires after 24 minutes of inactivity and it doesn't matter what browser cookie lifetime you configured for the admin.

If you want to stay logged in until you log out yourself, we have a very simple but smart solution for you. The Keep Admin Authorized extension. Now you don't have to worry about being logged out automatically. It works in a way that every minute an Ajax request is sent to a server to keep your PHP session and browser cookies active.

Key Features

  • Keeps admin session alive for cases when the page is not reloaded for a long time
  • No risk to lose data after saving data
  • No admin session limit. Get logged out only after a manual action
  • No more worry about being logged out automatically
  • Keeps your PHP session and browser cookies active
