OverviewBack to top
CommonWeb is a fast and reliable payment gateway for online stores provided by Commonwealth Bank - one of the “big four” Australian banks. Supported by world-class infrastructure, this payment method is fast-processing and utterly secure. It reduces a lot of time for the store admin to manage the payments by accepting online refunds, offering direct integration to customers’ account systems.
It is perfect for customers’ private information security and their experience. All the card details will not exist in the store site’s server but turn into a token with Mastercard. Besides, with this payment method, your store will be risk-free by the protection from 3D secure, CVV 3D validation, and an internal risk management system.
Mageplaza CommWeb diversifies the payment methods of online stores by coordinating with Commonwealth Bank. Another worth-to-use payment method will add to your store only with a simple configuration. It is especially convenient for your Australian customers because this payment method offers several financial services in Australia. The CommWeb payment will be available to customers who meet all the configured conditions. From the checkout page, customers can make payments with many types of cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, American Express, and JCB. It helps the payment systems process with speed and create more smooth transactions.
Account & Pricing
An additional CommWeb account is required, and other fees may apply, see different CommWeb Cards here. The account is not created during extension installation. To create an account and activate your card, please visit here.
No payment data entered by customers is passed through or stored on the Magento server. All payment information is securely transmitted directly to CommWeb. The redirect method is active with most payment methods, which means customers can switch to the payment method provider’s website. In case 3D secure is not available in a payment method (credit cards), API will replace it. All information will transfer to CommWeb without passing through the Magento server.
- Support several significant types of cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JBC, and Diners Club.
- Display the CommWeb Bank payment in three types, including default Magento, Popup, and Iframe.
- Set conditions to allow the payment by countries or the order total
- Support online and offline partial or total refund
- Well compatible with Mageplaza One Step Checkout
Support Almost Major Card Types
It is extremely convenient for customers at the checkout step because the extension accepts nearly all standard cards used in e-commerce stores:
- Diners Club
Create Safe & Secured Transactions
The Commonwealth Bank CommWeb uses CVV (Card Verification Value) validation, 3D secure, and an internal risk management system to ensure the payment transactions' security. Consequently, it protects your business from risk fraud. To activate the cards, customers have to verify 3 - 4 digit numbers at the back of each card.
One thing to notice, there are three-digit code numbers of card verification number (CVN) on Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club. On the American Express, the CVN is the combination of four-digit numbers.
Show The Commweb In Several Ways
The store admin can choose among three styles to display the Commonwealth Bank CommWeb at the checkout page: Magento Default, Pop-up checkout, and Iframe checkout. Each display type corresponding to each integration method.
In particular, if using default Magento, the Commweb payment will be displayed in the same style as your store’s theme. The store admin can handle all the transactions. The Iframe checkout is a bit different from the default one in the setting of the payment details area.
A checkout pop-up might be the right choice if you want to beautify your store’s checkout page. When customers move to the checkout step, a pop-up will appear for them to enter the card information. Due to the high security, the card information will not stay in the store site’s server but be directly transmitted to the Commonwealth Bank server for the next transaction procedure.
Set Conditions For Commweb Payment
At the backend configuration, the store admin can set up conditions to make the CommWeb payment available for customers. There are two types of conditions: the nations and the order.
In details, the admin can configure to allow buyers from all countries to use this payment method. In another case, the admin can restrict the CommWeb payment to some countries by selecting specific countries.
Besides, the payment method is also restricted based on the order total. When the order total reaches the configured maximum or minimum numbers, the CommWeb payment will appear as an additional method.
