Notification Box

There are many ways to update important news to your customers: sending emails or SMS, creating popups or banners on your online store, etc. You need to choose the right channel for your customer segments to make sure that your notifications will catch their attention the most. Recently, more and more online store owners choose to use web push notifications to deliver messages to customers. The truth is that it's quite hard to miss a web push notification!

With Notification Box for Magento 2, you can send unlimited notifications via web browsers to inform your customers about upcoming promotions, new arrival, order updates, and so on. Google's mobile platform, Firebase is used to create web push notifications. Moreover, the notifications are not just shown on your website only. Your customers could directly receive your information anywhere, anytime as long as they're online. This function of web push notifications, which is impossible to other channels like email or SMS, will remind your customers to come back to your store more frequently!

Account & Pricing

The extension can work independently without a Firebase account. You can only send notifications to customers in the Notification box in the frontend.

To enable web push notifications, you need to have a Firebase account. If you haven't had yet, please visit here to sign up. Then, get the Firebase Project Credentials to connect with the Magento website.

Firebase provides you with a Spark Plan for free. Additional fees will be applied if you choose the Blaze Plan. Firebase pricing starts at $24.99 per month. For more details, visit here.

Exclusive Features

Set up & Schedule Web Push Notifications

By default, the extension provides you with 3 types, which is activated based on customer action on site:

  • Abandoned cart: The notification of this type can be sent only when there are items added to the cart but the customers left before completing the order. In the Magento backend, the admin can set how long a shopping cart is considered abandoned to start sending notifications.
  • Review reminder: The customer usually forgets to write a review after purchasing your product. That’s why you need to send them a reminder. With the Notification box for Magento 2, the admin can set the required order status to activate the asking-for-review notification.
  • Order status updates: It could be must easier for your customers to keep track of their orders via web push notifications. They can update the order status immediately while surfing the Internet. Our extension allows the admin to choose precisely which status needs to be informed to the customer.

Besides, you can always create as many custom types as you want. However, the custom type will not support any trigger condition from customers.

The admin needs to set the name, description, the thumbnail image for each notification type. Also, the admin will decide whether a type filterable or not in the frontend.

With each type, unlimited notifications could be set up. Remember to follow 3 criteria:

  • Right message: Keep your content short and attractive.
  • Right audiences: You can choose the store view and customer group that the notification should appear
  • Right time: Pick the sent time for the notification

Pick a Perfect Moment to Send Notifications

Even when you have great content, you still need to define a time to send the notifications to make sure your message can reach out to many customers as much as possible. There are 3 sending modes for you:

  • Send immediately: The notification will be sent right after you finish all the necessary settings. You can use this option for some urgent news that needs to announce immediately.
  • Schedule time: You don't have time to send notifications one by one. So just choose a date and time to deliver the messages automatically!
  • Send after the trigger condition: This option also allows you to schedule notifications to send automatically. However, it applies only to 3 default message types. The sent time will be based on the delay time after the trigger condition is met.

View Report How The Web Push Performs

The admin can keep track of the number of subscribers on the Magento website. Also, they can view the basic information of each subscriber, change the status, and delete them easily.

Most importantly, you know the impressions and clicks of each notification. So you can keep the well-performing notifications and improve the ones that attract little attention.
