Each year, Moneris processes over 3.5 billion transactions for more than 350,000 merchant locations.
Moneris Payment Gateway for Magento 2 helps store owners access millions of more customers in Canada, allowing them to check out seamlessly with their familiar payment method. Various types of payment cards are supported including Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Maestro, American Express.
Using Moneris Payment Gateway, merchants will be able to reduce frauds, chargebacks, and expand their market base to get more customers and sales. Moneris is PCI DSS Compliance. It supports tokenization and full authorization. With Direct API Integration, customers can check out right on the merchant's Magento 2 store website.

Security
The extension has the industry's best security practice: PCI DSS Compliance. It supports tokenization and full authorization.
The extension allows the administrator to set up two types of checkout: Direct and Redirect.
- Direct type: Customers enter their payment information directly into our secure environment.
- Redirect type: Customers are redirected to the Moneris. Once the payment process is complete, customers will be redirected back to your store. No customer data is ever entered into, or stored on, the Magento server in these types of checkout.
The extension also supports vault payment, so the customer tokenization will be stored on the website for later use.

Moneris Checkout (MCO) - Replacement of Moneris Hosted PayPage (HPP)
Moneris Checkout is the upgraded version of Moneris Hosted PayPage. With this upgrade, merchants are expected to enjoy a better experience: a more seamless and secured payment process, enabling customers to safely enter their payment details and complete transactions with ease.

Direct API integration
Our extension supports the API card detail collection method. Under this method, a payment form will be created by the merchant’s server, and card info will be filled into the customer’s browser and sent directly to the payment gateway server for processing. The result will be sent back to the merchant’s server for processing the actual payment. This method allows merchants to handle more customers as Moneris stores the cardholder data on their server. Merchants using Moneris Payment Gateway under this method will be eligible for PCI DSS validation using the SAQ D form as no sensitive card data is stored or passes the merchant's server.
Tokenization
Tokenization is the best security method to protect your customers' data as well as your money. The customer's card info will be secured with a token that cannot be reversed to real data values. Moneris will encrypt customer card data and convert them into a single-generate token code. This token is unique to each Merchant and can only be used when authorized.
Hosted Tokenization
Although our Magento 2 Moneris extension already has the Tokenization feature, with the addition of Moneris Hosted Tokenization, merchants now have multiple options for securing their customers’ payment details, allowing them to choose the method that best suits their preferences and offers the most convenient checkout experience.
Save Card Information in Moneris Hosted Vault
Customers can save card information on checkout to fasten the process for future purchases. This information is safely stored on the Moneris Hosted Vault.
Authorize only
Moneris will check the customer account for available funds but the money is still kept in the customer's bank account until merchants make a request for a transfer or until a cut-off date.
Authorize and capture
Moneris will check for the customer account and will immediately transfer money from the customer’s funding source to your merchant account. It will take several days for the money to be transferred from the merchant account to your regular bank account.
Void
Merchants can easily void a payment after it has been authorized so the order will no longer be processed. This can be done in Magento's back-end to save the merchant’s time.
Refund
With Moneris Payment Gateway, merchants can offer refunds to customers from Magento back-end without leaving the store. This expedites the refund process and improves customer satisfaction.
