Overview

If you haven't heard about AWS SES - it is probably the most cost-effective service to send emails.

Magenable extension allows you easily use AWS SES for all transactional emails in your Magento/Adobe Commerce store.  The key difference from other similar extensions is that Magenable Amazon SES integration is built exclusively for AWS SES and works through AWS SES API rather than SMTP. That approach provides significantly faster email delivery (3-4 times faster in our tests). In addition, extension isn't bloated with unnecessary functions to support couple dozens of other providers, which makes it more light-weight and easier to use.

Account & Pricing

You need an account with Amazon Web Service and activated AWS SES service to use this extension. An account has to be created prior to use of the extension. Account creation link - https://portal.aws.amazon.com/billing/signup

With an app/website hosted on AWS EC2 servers your first 62,000 emails per month are totally free. Then it costs $0.1 per 1,000 emails. You may check full pricing on AWS website

Features

The functionality also includes:

  • email delivery log where you may find was every single email delivered and when
  • email delivery dashboard with summary statistic about delivery rate, bounces, complaints and rejects - you see all this information right in Magento admin, no need to login to your AWS account to see
  • support of AWS SES configuration sets (important if you want to track email delivery or use AWS SES for different apps)
  • improved email queue with re-delivery
  • testing functionality, you may send yourself a test email to make sure that AWS SES works from your Magento properly
  • Compatibility with version 2.4.6 tested
