Grouped Product Filter for Magento 2 takes our original GPF to a whole new level and crushes it! Grouped Product Filter is a super-useful extension that applies Magento’s native layered navigation functionality to grouped products' associated product lists directly on the product page. This module will create attribute-based filters at the top of the associated products list on grouped product pages. It will allow customers to filter down the product list using color swatch filters, image swatch filters, text swatch filters, and checkbox filters based on swatch attributes, dropdown attributes, multiselect attributes, and yes/no attributes.

The extension will only create the filters when truly needed. For example, if there are five associated products that all have the same color, then no filter will be rendered for color because it would not be useful in that scenario. Additionally, multiple options of the same filter can now be selected, making the module much more versatile than previous.

There are many reasons why a merchant might want to provide Grouped Product Filter functionality to their customers. A few common use cases:

  • The merchant has long lists of associated products that can be confusing or overwhelming for the customer
  • The merchant sells highly technical parts and equipment that have many attributes assigned and having filter functionality would be helpful
  • The merchant created grouped products but later realized that they should have created configurable products but does not want to delete and re-create the product as a configurable product
  • The merchant just wants to offer a useful convenience to all customers while viewing grouped products

Grouped Product Filter will:

  • Work with both native and custom themes
  • Work with responsive themes on tablets and mobile devices
  • Work with swatch attributes, dropdown attributes, multiselect attributes, and yes/no attributes
  • Allow multiple filter selection. For example, show shirts that either green or red
  • Show filters using the store-specific labels. For example, if the merchant entered attribute labels in French for a specific store, then the filters will be rendered in French when shopping that particular store
  • Allow merchant to set the minimum number of associated products that must be present before actually showing the filters. For example, if there are only three associated products, the merchant might feel that showing filters is not necessary
  • Allow merchant to select which attributes are eligible for use as grouped product filters
  • Allow merchant to select the SQL operator. The options are AND and OR. When using AND, if the customer were to select the colors red and blue, the products shown would have to have both red and blue colors assigned to them. When using OR, the filter would show any products that are either red or blue
  • Allow merchant to set a custom title on the filters block or no title at all, if so desired

Grouped Product Filter will not:

  • Disappoint
  • Will not use any direct SQL, dangerous methods, or unconventional hacks to modify any data
