Overview
Back to topOrder Prefix allows the store owner to add the prefix of default Magento order id, invoice id, shipment id, credit memo id. Store admin adds custom order prefix, shipment prefix,invoice prefix, credit memo prefix for the different stores and different store views. You need to Configure Prefix for Admin side.
As Magento default functionality does not allow the admin to edit or change the Order ID,invoice id, shipment id, credit memo id. It becomes difficult to search and filter the records just by using the numbers. But, with the help of this order prefix module, the admin can modify and insert any prefix containing any recognizable letter or words. The admin can set any specific formats for various records' ID. Such as – order ORD, invoices INV, shipment SHIP, etc.
When you have N numbers of records at that time with the use of Prefix, you can find out your detailed data.
