Overview

You might be thinking that why to force for login to access the website. Looking at the old traditional data, customers find this force login annoying, and it may also affect the conversion rates. But as we know that every business is different, and it’s not mandatory for everyone to follow the traditional way. So, contradicting this traditional method, it won’t be that bad to implement the force login feature in Magento 2 stores. And, even if we derive the login benefits, then it may prompt and attract the guest users to log in. This will also enhance the customer’s experience.

MageAnts has developed Force Login for Magento 2 extension to implement this force login feature in Magento 2 store. This extension helps the admin control and restrict the various page accesses. Customers must log in to access the restricted content or pages of the website. And for the website with huge traffic might find it difficult in identifying potential buyers. So in such cases, implementing this force login feature will make it easy for the admin to focus on potential customers and also offer a better customer experience.

The extension forces the visitors to sign up and log in to access the particular content/pages. It helps the admin to collect the data of the potential customers, which can be further used for marketing purposes! Let’s take a look at the features that Magento 2 Force Login extension has to offer!

Key Features:

Restrict Access to Log in Users Only

Force Login Extension by MageAnts allows restricting users and customers to login access to particular pages or areas users can view. Customers need to log in first to access the restricted pages. The login interface is very simple and user-friendly for customers. They just need to fill in the registered email address and the password. If the login is processed successfully, the page will be easily accessible.

Set Login Required Condition to Any Pages

Admin can simply customize the pages that can only be explored and visited by registered users. Admin can select the multiple pages for which he needs to set the login required condition. Along with the default pages, Force Login can be applied to:

  • Product page
  • Category page
  • Cart page
  • Checkout page
  • Search page
  • Advanced search page
  • Contact page
  • CMS page
  • Custom URL
  • Also, hide third-party extension pages

Display Custom Alert Message

With our Force Login extension, the admin can set the custom message to notify customers when they visit a required login page. So, whenever visitors try to access the restricted pages without logging in, they will be automatically sent to the sign-in page. A custom message will be shown accordingly to inform them of the force login functionality.

Set URLs to Redirect Customers

This extension also got one noticeable feature which is redirecting function. Once customers logged in to the website successfully, they will be directly redirected to a particular page. Admin can set the destination URLs with various options:

  • Default Page
  • Home Page
  • Previous URL
  • Custom URL

This is one of the best ways to redirect customers to targeted pages for particular purposes such as product promotion or any specific product introduction with the aim to encourage them to buy more.

Enable/Disable Default Customer Registration Link

Admin can manage customer registration also where they can hide the “register” block in the login page and top header section. As a result, a registration link will be disappeared from the frontend if the admin disables it from the admin panel and visitors cannot create new accounts in the frontend. Instead, the admin will do this action from backend sites.

Full Feature List:

  • Enable/Disable force login
  • Set force login for different pages
  • Restrict access to login customers only.
  • Enable custom notification message when visitors access a required login page.
  • Enhance user experience & flexible configuration
  • Admin can set a custom URL to redirect the user after logging in.
