The JunoSYNC extension is invisible to your customers. The application is fully managed through the configuration menu in the administration panel. Once the extension is installed, you will enter your Salesforce credentials to make the connection with your Salesforce Org. Afetr a successful connection is established, you will define which objects will be synchronized. This may include products, customers and orders. Because there are dozens of fields you may wish to map between Magento and Salesforce, we include scripts that you can run at the press of a button to populate the most popular field mappings in order to hit the ground running. Once the field mappings are complete, you should attempt some sample manual synchronizations to confirm data is flowing as you would desire. Once confirmed, you may then do a bulk synchronization of each of the categories (i.e. Products, Customers and Orders). Use of this extension requires that you already have or planning to get an account with Salesforce. It is imprtant to note, that in order to use this extension, you must have at least the Salesforce Lightning Enterprise account type. Only the Salesforce Enterprise account type includes the use of the Salesforce API feature. You can find the account types here.
Depending on your requirements, JunoSYNC can be configured to automatically synchronize new customers immediately upon account registration. In addition, you can define domain name mappings to make sure customers from the same company are maintained under the same Salesforce account. Let's use Tekgistics, LLC as an example. A new person registers an account in Magento with email address email@example.com. You can make sure any future Tekgistics customers will fall under the single Tekgistics, LLC account in Salesforce by mapping their domain. This way, even if the customer fails to spell the company name the same or uses a different address, they will still be grouped together as contacts under the same account in Salesforce. This is just an example of the dozens of thoughtful features we've baked into the JunoSYNC product.
