    Hard to imagine running a webpage without using WebP.

    Lazy Loading

    By enabling lazy loading, images on your site will be only loaded while visible within the viewport / when the user is scrolling down.
    This will speed up page load times for your customers, save bandwidth for your customers as well as for you.
    In other words, lazy loading is an improvement for user experience on your site and at the same time helps also improving your SEO rankings.
    Of course, with our extension, you have the possibility to exclude certain images from lazy loading, which is recommended e. g. for banner images or "hero"-images above-the-fold.
    It is also possible for you to upload a custom loading icon to match your design and look'n'feel of your site - or simply use a transparent/invisible icon provided with the extension.

    High-Resolution ("Retina") Images 

    Many customers visit your store using so-called "High-Resolution" or "Retina" displays. These displays have a higher pixel-density which allows showing images and text with much more detail, sharper, and less "blurry" than traditional displays.

    For each image converted to AVIF/WebP, you can see the file sizes and savings realized in Image Optimization Status screen.
