Overview
Back to topYou have created the best images for your online store. But un-optimized images can slow down your website, damage user perception, and hurt revenue. With Image Management by imgix, you can easily automate image optimization, transformation, and delivery, so your customers can truly appreciate your products the way you see them.
Image Management by imgix allows users to easily search, browse, and select image assets for your Storefront using Page Builder. Additionally, the imgix extension helps simplify your Product publishing workflow within Magento. Configure the Product Image settings once and all of your pages will serve images at the most optimal size, quality, and file format.

Features:
- Image optimization for better site performance and user engagement - Another issue our E-commerce clients often encounter is unoptimized images that slow down the website and damage the user experience. When viewed over a variety of devices, browsers, and apps, your images should be responsive and adapt to the best viewing experience. However, without using the proper responsive imaging solution, images can be blurry, badly cropped, or simply not delivered. On top of the poor image quality, large and unoptimized image files can slow down your website, causing higher bounce rates and more abandoned shopping carts. With the imgix app, you get the best-in-class image optimization through imgix’s Rendering API. For starters, we recommend the automatic compression and file format conversion functions.
- All teams, one single media source - Creating, reviewing, and deploying media assets can be a huge test for cross-team collaborations. With the imgix extension, version control is centralized, so you and your organization can collaborate efficiently and confidently.
- Shorten the steps from image creation to live on-site - Creating different image versions to suit various device sizes, screen orientations, or pixel densities is tedious. With imgix, one high-quality image can be dynamically rendered and adapted to each user environment.
- Less web development time - the imgix extension can be deployed in minutes, with a one-time setup and no additional developer support. It gives more control to E-Commerce managers, designers, and marketers, who can directly update images to the online store, and frees up frontend developers to tackle other complex projects.
- No need to migrate media to new locations - imgix can connect to all your existing local or cloud storage. You don’t have to move or copy your files. Unlike other image solutions, we want to simplify your workflow AND your billing. Simply connect your storage to imgix, and visualize all your media directly in the imgix app.
- Globally distributed CDN for faster, more reliable content delivery - our image CDN has high-density POPs, enabling us to serve more from cache, speed up delivery, and maintain high availability. With real-time device and browser detection, our CDN can serve next-gen formats like AVIF or WebP for browsers that support them. Best of all, our simple pricing covers both image processing and delivery, with bandwidth included.
