Allowed Product Attributes

In this era of competition, there are number of online shopping options available for customers. Therefore, it has become very necessary for online store owners to improve user experience and win customer satisfaction to boost their business. In this regard, this allowed product attribute in layered navigation extension for Magento 2 can be very helpful for the online store owners as it navigates the customers to their desired products using the attribute filters. This functionality does not only saves customers’ time but also improve their shopping experience and lure them to visit the site in future.

Unlike few, most of the customers make use of site search or swipe through the pages to find the required products, however, this allowed product attribute in layered navigation extension for Magento2 enables the customers to select the product attributes from layered navigation section to filter the desired products. Once the extension is installed and configured, the product attribute filters appear on the category page, the customer can click on the product attribute drop-down, select the attribute options to filter the products they are looking for. This intuitive and easy to use functionality has a drastic impact on the conversion rate of the customers.

This flexible extension for Magneto 2 gives admin the control to either allow product attribute filters on all the categories or some specific categories. For instance, a web store has categories such as Men and Women etc. in this case, each category has an Allowed Product Attribute section in the Magento backend, where admin can select product attributes to display. Moreover, it also enables admin to either allow all or some selected attributes for the customers. For example, admin can allow size, color and price attribute for Men and only size attribute for Women. Furthermore, admin can also allow subcategories to be displayed in layered navigation on the front end. Let us consider that a category “Tops” has subcategories of Jackets, Hoodies and Tees, admin can allow these subcategories (Jackets, Hoodies and Tees) to display in layered navigation

For the customer point of view, this extension is a big relief as it makes the product navigation process hassle-free and customers are no longer required to wander cluelessly on the website, they just have to choose the product attributes which match their requirement. Let’s say if a customer needs to buy small sized blue striped hoody, then rather than using site search he can simply go to Hoodies page, select black in color attribute, small in size attribute and striped in pattern attribute.

  • Admin can allow product attributes for categories and subcategories.
  • Admin can either allow all or some selected product attributes on categories.
  • Admin can remove the product attribute filters from the category. For instance, if the admin wants to remove the product attribute filters on Men’s category then he can go to Allowed Product Attribute section in  Men’s category and deselect the allowed attributes.
  •  Admin can allow sub-categories to be displayed in the layered navigation.
  •  Customer can select attribute to filter the products.
  •  Customer can multi-select the attributes to further narrow their search.
  • Customer can clear all the selected attributes at once or can individually deselect one by one.

  • Provides an efficient way to navigate the desired product on the website.
  • This easy to use navigation process increases the conversion rate on the website.
  • Saves customer from wandering clueless on the websites by navigating to the products through the attributes.
  • Enables customers to multi-select the product attributes to further narrow down the search.
