Sort Products By 14 Attributes

The default sorting options in Magento 2 are limited and shoppers can’t sort products by popular parameters such as top rated or best sellers. The Magento 2 improved sorting extension adds a bunch of useful sorting parameters that make the searching process on category and search result pages a lot easier. Shoppers can sort products by:

  • Best Seller
  • Saving
  • Top Rated
  • Price
  • Product Name
  • Position
  • Price: Low to High
  • Price: High to Low
  • Most Viewed
  • Reviews Count
  • Stock Quantity
  • Now in Wishlist
  • New Arrival
  • Relevance

Enable/Disable Any Sorting Option

All the sorting options the extension offers are open for customizations. You can disable any sorting option you think is not important with a single click.

Reorder Sorting Options

Arrange options in the order that you think will be optimal. To do so, all you have to do is drag and drop. For example, if you think ‘sort by rating’ is the most important parameter, you can move it to the top. The options will be displayed in a dropdown according to the specified order.

Customize Label For Each Sorting Attribute

The sorting titles are customizable. Give the title to each sorting option that will best reflect its function. Understandable and accurate titles will help shoppers understand what each option will do.

Apply On Category And/or Search Pages

Magento 2 improved sorting allows you to customize each sorting option and apply it on both category and search pages or any of these pages. You can also choose the default sorting direction for each option i.e. ascending or descending.

Configure The Default Sorting Option

Choose in what order the products will display on category and search pages by default. You may want to choose the order that is more trendy or displays your most popular products on page load. If shoppers want any other sorting order, they can select it from the dropdown.

Run Cron Job Daily, Monthly, Or Yearly

Store’s statistics can change with time. The product that was the #1 top rated a week ago may have lost its place today or product’s stock quantities may have changed. It’s important that the sorting works based on the latest statistics. To ensure that, you can schedule a cron job. Determine whether you want to run the cron job every day, once a week, or once a month. Reindexing will occur after the specified interval, updating everything and the sorting will reflect the latest changes.

Show ‘Out of Stock’ & Products With No Images Last

Display ‘out of stock’ products and products with no images at the end of the list. This is important because you may want to display products that are appealing and are available in large quantities at the top. Visitors will still be able to see and search for out-of-stock products.

Display Featured Products Widget

You can create any number of widgets and insert them to any page anywhere i.e. sidebar, after page header, before page footer, main content area, etc. You can display featured products based on:

  • Best Sellers
  • Most Viewed
  • Top Rated
  • New

This helps you promote your popular products on products, categories, search, and cart pages.
