RMA is what companies need when they want to organize a proper process of product return. With the help of this product customers are carefully guided through the process as soon as they decide to make a (partial) order return. From the store website for guests or the customer area for registered users, clients initiate their return requests through the interface which allows to: select or enter their order number, select item(s) within the given order, state necessary quantity, state return reason and desired resolution of the case and fill in additional fields configured by the store admin.  

Upon a return request creation, the staff receives an email notification and observes incoming requests flow through the admin grid. When working with a ticket admin can: see all request, order and customer details, write responses or request additional information from the customer, re-assign the request to another admin user, make internal notes visible by staff only, update any fields, set proper status and ontrol the process of the return according to the workflow. 

A workflow is a predefined set of steps and necessary expected actions from admin and customer. It helps to ensure that the company receives all required information and the return is properly packed and sent back by customer. The default workflow of Exto RMA fits most of organizations, however if you need to add new steps or request specific information this becomes handy. There are frequent cases when a store credit is a desired solution for a product return.
