Who Created Order for Magento 2 is a handy extension to let you know about the order creator and their role. With a large number of orders, store administrators get confused and they waste time searching about the order creator. With native Magento installation, there isn't a provision to get this information available in the orders grid. Even with a quick look, you can't figure out that which store admin created certain orders for the customers.

If you need to know about the order creator in a sales grid view and his role, this extension is the perfect choice for you! There are several different cases where this extension is worth using. For example,

  • if your store has more than one supplier to fulfill the orders
  • if your store has regular customers with given user roles to create orders
  • if you have sub-account users with given permissions to create orders, then you must have this extension to know exactly who created the order

  • When you create and save order, the order is:
    • created by name and
    • user role will be saved
  • Order creator name and his role will be available in the sales order grid.
  • If an order goes missing, you can figure out by asking the person who created the order for any customer(s)
  • You can monitor sub-account users and evaluate their performance by looking at the number of successful orders they have created

  • Saves the time of store administrators
  • Helps in avoiding mistakes while changing the status of an order
  • No Need to make edits in code
  • Helps in co-ordinating among the team members of a store
  • Each member is aware who created the order and what was his role
  • Helps in establishing a sense of responsibility for the order creator, because with each order his name and his role will be mentioned in the sales order grid
