Overview

Please Note: This extension was not created by the FedEx Carriers company. Ecomplugins have built this extension to facilitate a quick Freight API integration with FedEx Carriers.

FedEx Express invented express distribution and is the industry’s global leader, providing rapid, reliable, time-definite delivery to more than 220 countries and territories.

This FedEx Express module enables you to validate shipping addresses at the checkout page.  It will be auto-checked by FedEx API at the run time. If FedEx does not return anything then it will default show customer entered address for selection.  You should check all screenshots to understanding the flow of extension.

This FedEx Express module will send a complete customer address with street, city, zip, state and country fields to FedEx API. Based on all fields, FedEx API will check in its own database and will return the suggested addresses. The admin will have the option to enable or disable the module. If disabled then default fedex module settings will work. If enabled then only the address check API will call.

Address validation API  must be enabled for your live account to use this plugin. By default it is disabled for all account. So you should contact to fedex support to enable it.

This plugin using FedEx Soap API.  FedEx Soap API will stop working in end of year 2024. You should consider FedEx Rest API plugin.

This plugin is compatible with default magento 2.4.x checkout only. If you are using any custom checkout plugin, then please contact us for customization.

Account & Pricing:

You need to sign up for a free FedEx services account to use that module. You have to enter FedEx key, password, meter number and account number to make it work. You can get all these api details from FedEx. You need to signup and create account on fedex.com.

Features:

  • You can enable / disable module from admin panel.
  • Address will check by FedEx API and show suggested address.
  • Update customer address on checkout page with selected address, then shipping rates will also update with updated address.
  • Option to show default customer entered address or not. Admin can disable this option.
  • Validated saved address and save verification in each address. So  no need to verify same address again on checkout page.
