AWS SNS Promotion SMS extension for Magento 2 will enable the web store owner to integrate AWS SNS service directly with their web store to send customized promotional SMS with various configuration options.

An easy way to integrate with your AWS SNS account to allow you to send an SMS directly from your store’s admin panel to customer’s mobile phone with country code number (default telephone field) submitted as part of their billing/shipping address. The extension works by sending the SMS request to your AWS SNS service account, this extension can be used for multiple cases. For example, if you as a store owner want's to run a promotional event on your store, you can use this extension to send custom promotional SMS to a group of or individual customer before or during the promotion. It doesn't alter any existing function or appearance.

Thanks to many easy configurable settings, you can control what, when and to whom the SMS will be sent and also check/export the historical data along with various filters. 

Please note this extension requires AWS SDK for PHP version 3 and it will be installed along with the extension.

Promotion Options

  • Enable Promotions: If set to 'Yes', the button 'Send Promotions' will be enable. The default value is set to 'No' when installed.
  • Promotions SMS Template: Specify the template of the SMS that will be sent to the customer. The address fields like 'prefix', 'firstname', 'middlename', 'lastname', 'suffix' and 'postcode' can be used in the template, this placeholder will be replaced with the dynamic values found in shipping/billing address.
  • Customer Groups: Select the customer groups to be considered for fetching the customer’s, for sending the promotional SMS.
  • Customer Email(s): Specify the customer’s email id, to be considered for sending the promotional SMS.
  • Mobile Number: Specify the address type billing or shipping to be considered for fetching the telephone field value for sending the SMS. The default value is set to 'Defaut Shipping Address Telephone' when installed.
  • Check Duplication's: If set to 'Yes', the same customer won’t receive an SMS in the same day. The default value is set to 'No' when installed.
  • Send Promotions: If this button is clicked, the extension will send the SMS to all the customers belonging to the customer group selected and/or customer email specified. 

      Kindly note the configuration needs to be saved first before sending SMS request to consider the changes made.      

Examples

  • Customer Groups: As shown in the image on the carousel above, if 'General' group is selected, all the customer’s belonging to this group will receive an SMS, considering they have valid mobile phone number (default telephone field value) as part of their billing/shipping address.
  • Customer Email(s): As shown in the image on the carousel above, if roni_cost@example.com is specified, the respective customer account registered with this email id will receive an SMS, considering they have valid mobile phone number (default telephone field value) as part of their billing/shipping address.
  • Check Duplication's: For example, if on April 1st, 2023 customer with email roni_cost@example.com was sent a promotional SMS, if admin choose to send the promotional SMS again on the same day, the above mentioned customer won’t receive an SMS again.  

Appearance

This extension doesn't affect the appearance of any existing sections as it is not using any custom CSS or JavaScript.
