Overview

Guest Checkout To Registered Customers extension for Magento 2 gives you the ability to convert guest orders on checkout to registered customers. Once installed, you can access the extension from the Magento 2 admin and it displays a list of guest checkout orders available for conversion. You can select which customers/orders you want to convert, and upon conversion a new password will generated. This information will be emailed to the the user. All order information and customer information is transferred over when the guest is converted to a customer. You can also set which customer group the newly convereted customer is part of.

The extension can also be set to automatically convert guest checkout orders to a registered customer, automating this process on your site.  This extensions makes it fast and easy to add, manage, and convert guest orders to registered customers. For example, many ecommerce websites have first time customers who bought something on the site as a guest and didn't expect to become a repeat customer. Later though, that customer is emailing asking that the "guest" order be added to the new customer account they signed up for so they can see ALL previous orders not just ones that were placed under the newly created account.

Features:

  • Supports Paypal Express Checkout
  • Ability to convert guests and their guest orders to customer manually via Magento admin. It will create an account for every guest checkout or link orders to existing accounts (Based on e-mail address).
  • Optional choice of adding a button to successful checkout page for users to optionally convert to an account if they decide they want to after checkout is complete
  • Ability to automatically convert guests / guest orders to customer account at time of checkout. You can enable/disable this option via Magento admin
  • Ability to convert guest checkout customers to any customer group of your choice. (general/wholesale/etc )
