The Clutch Customer Data and Marketing Platform integrates with online and offline data sources, creating a unified, real-time customer profile. Embedded analytics and machine learning capabilities help brands identify trends and opportunities in their data, enabling them to take action and engage with customers when it matters most. Clutch offers a variety of solutions as part of a fully integrated platform including CRM, CDP, personalized loyalty programs, gift cards, as well as mobile, email, and direct mail capabilities. Clutch partners with leading technology providers that include POS, eCommerce, System Integrators, ESP, CRM, ERP and more to facilitate comprehensive data management and personalized outbound marketing.

The Clutch Magento Extension was built for brands to implement using Magento 2. The extension provides the framework for integration of Clutch services for Stored Value and Loyalty as well as the ability to record and/or reward on standard events to track and incentivize customer behavior.


Account & Pricing

The use of the Clutch Loyalty and Gift card extension is dependent on first having a contract for services with Clutch. To engage with the Clutch team to initiate this relationship, click HERE. There will be an ongoing financial obligation to Clutch based upon the services contracted. Once the relationship is established and the contract is signed, an implementation team will be assigned to support the on-boarding process. In addition, it is assumed that a systems integrator of the brand’s choice will be contracted at the brand’s expense to install and implement the Clutch extension on the brand’s behalf. 

Pricing is as follows and may include some but not all of the following

  1. One Time Fees (e.g. Platform Implementation)
  2. Recurring Modular License Fees (SaaS)
  3. Marketing Volumes (e.g. Email, SMS..)



The Clutch Magento 2.0 Extension allows brands to leverage the power of a loyalty program to enhance the ability to understand and communicate with their customers. The extension will allow brands to enroll customers in their program, collect customer preferences, record purchase data as well as non-spend data for both enrolled and non-enrolled customers. 

Clutch will provide valuable insights on customer preferences, behavior and purchase data through Clutch Portal reporting. This data can then be leveraged using Clutch segmentation tools to allow for targeted relevant communication based upon the brand’s data via email, mobile, direct mail and more.

The following Loyalty use cases are included in the standard functionality of the cartridge:

  • Enrollment upon account creation
  • Preference collection within a “customer preference” page in the “my account” section
  • Program description page to convey relevant program benefits and Loyalty balances.
  • Reward product page to allow for redemption of products priced with points.
  • Event recording for account creation, product reviews, cart abandonment and other standard events. These events will be recorded on the customer’s loyalty record and can be rewarded with points should the brand choose to do so.
  • Purchase tracking by customer through the Clutch Checkout API to allow for points accumulation for enrolled customers.
  • Reward redemption of custom “reward currency” stored on the customer’s loyalty account.  Reward currency is applied as an order discount.


Stored Value

The Clutch Magento 2.0 Extension also enables Stored Value functionality. This includes the ability to sell and redeem both the following Stored Value instruments:

  • Physical Gift cards
  • Virtual Gift cards
  • Merchandise Credit Stored Value (redemption)
  • Promotional Stored Value (redemption)

Clutch has built the Magento 2.0 extension to provide a framework for integration. While every effort has been made to provide robust functionality for Stored Value and Loyalty, there will typically be front end work and customization needed to the brand’s ecommerce site to accommodate specific customer experience needs the brand may dictate.
