Back to topChainside is a payment processor for Bitcoin and crypto payments, providing software to make the integration of a merchant with the crypto networks as simple as possible. Chainside provides therefore a simple interface abstracting all the complexity of Bitcoin and cryptos and providing an integration experience similar to traditional payment methods.
The Chainside Bitcoin and crypto Payment extension is designed to help Magento merchants to accept Bitcoin payments in their store.
By accepting Bitcoin adn crypto payments you provide an extra option to your customers and get access to a large pool of users you may not have access to traditional financial infrastructure.
When you add the extension to your store, a "Pay with Bitcoin or USDT ERC-20" option will appear close to the other payment methods. If the Bitcoin and crypto payment option is chosen, the customer will be redirected to a Chainside checkout page where all the information needed to complete the payment (bitcoin address and bitcoin amount) will be shown. As soon as the payment is received, the customer is redirected to your Magento store and your back-end will be notified.
To use the extension, you first have to register (for free) on the Chainside's platform at business.chainside.net, where you will be able to create an account and link it to you personal bank account. From your Chainside account, you can then create an object called webPOS which will be in charge of generating a payment order and communicate with your Magento store.
Account & Pricing
In order to use this extension for Magento, it is necessary to first create an account on Chainside’s platform at business.chainside.net. Creating an account on Chainside and start accepting Bitcoin and crypto payments is free of charge and does not require any subscription fee.
The service fee applied is 1.5% of the amount of the transaction in euro, and is applied only on actual transactions. The instant exchange service to have the received cryptos converted in euros is included in the service fee.
Features
- Link the extension for Magento to your Chainside account using a clientID and secret.
- Decide whether to show a Bitcoin logo in the check-out page.
- Choose how the Bitcoin payment option will be described to your customers (the title).
- Test the Bitcoin payments in a sandbox testing environment.
- Set the list of countries where you wish the Bitcoin payment option to be available.
Security
Chainside’s extension for Magento only supports Bitcoin payments, therefore no banking data of the customer is ever involved in the process.
Upon checkout, customers are redirected to the Chainside website. The customer enters his or her payment information directly into our secure environment so that the web store never comes into contact with the customers payment data. Once the payment process is complete, customers will be redirected back to your Magento store. No customer data is ever entered into, or stored on, the Magento server.
