In the default Magento 2, the HTML sitemap feature is no longer available as it is in Magento 1. As a sitemap plays an important role in the search engine optimization for any website, the fact that the feature is missing may affect this process. Hence, the Dynamic HTML Sitemap extension is developed to be an effective solution to this problem.

The HTML sitemap is now auto-created in the backend with just a few configurations from the admin.  By adding links of products, categories, CMS pages and store views to the sitemap, visitors can easily get an general overview about your website. Furthermore, the auto-update function is quite useful whenever you make modification on the site. Therefore, the module is considered as one of the most ideal tools to enhance SEO performance for your Magento 2 store.

Key Features

Auto-Generate HTML Sitemap For Each Store View

Once the installation of the module is completed, all of the available store views will be updated with their own HTML sitemaps. This process is automatic and follows the admins’ configuration in the backend. Links to categories, products, CMS pages and store views of are all included there.

Auto-Update Changes In The Store Structure

Magento stores, like any eCommerce site, have a high frequency of changes in their products. Hence, the sitemap will be updated automatically without any action from the admins.

Add MetaData For The Sitemap

To archive the search engine optimization at its best, the module allows the admins to write meta data including meta description and meta keywords for the sitemap in the backend. This helps the search engines index the site more easily.

Add External Links To The Sitemap

Not only containing internal links of Magento 2 store, the sitemap can also include with links from other websites. The admins can add any links they want and edit the anchor text from the backend.

Customize The Listing Order

Among categories, products, CMS pages and store views, the admins can define the order of which will be displayed first to get the most user-friendly sitemap.

Enhance SEO Performance For Magento 2 Stores

Without a proper sitemap, some of the priority pages could be missed by search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo... They won't be able to find the content and include your website in the first pages of search results. Hence, a detailed sitemap will definitely get you a higher page ranking.

Provide Customers With A Clear Site Structure

With a mass of available products on a Magento store, buyers may not find out what they really need. However, a sitemap will give them the most detailed look of all the goods offered on the site.
