Overview

In the default Magento 2, the XML sitemap feature still has some restrictions. Hence, the extension is developed to be an effective solution to this problem. Besides that the XML sitemap is auto-generated, admins are now allowed to divide a sitemap into various sitemaps based on the top level categories, manufacture, or time. Moreover, specific links can be excluded from the sitemap. It is an ideal tool to improve search engine optimization for any Magento 2 store.

KEY FEATURES

  • Auto-create XML sitemap including all links of Magento 2 store

After enabling the module, an XML sitemap will be generated. It gives search engine connections to Homepage, category pages, product pages, CMS pages of the Magento 2 store. Also, admins are allowed to add additional links to other websites to the sitemap.

  • Admin can select links to exclude from the sitemap

In some cases, business owners want to prevent the search engine crawlers from reading some links of the website. The extension can help them to perform this task with no worries. In the backend, admins can choose to get rid of links from XML sitemap by category, product type or product ID.

  • Split sitemap into multiple sitemaps for an easier indexing

An online shop may contain up to hundred thousands links; hence it is better to divide one big sitemap into various smaller sitemap so that it will be easier for the crawlers to index. The extension allows admins to divide the sitemap by top level category, manufacture and time.

  • Set priority and frequency for the fastest update to search engines

This setting can be configured specifically for homepage, category pages, product pages, and CMS pages. By assigning this detailed setting, admins can assure that search engines like Google know when to update the content and what to update first in the search result.

BENEFITS

  • Help search engines like Google and Bing index all the contents of your site

As a Magento 2 ecommerce site always has a dynamic content and pages which may not well connected (e.g. a product is only available when searching), the XML sitemap is a must-have. A detailed and well-structured XML sitemap enables the crawlers to index the site more thoroughly and more quickly.

  • Enhance ranking on the search result page

In the time when customers Google every product they want to buy from lbs of beef to a best seller book, getting the store in the higher ranking is as important as ever. In order to archive that, the XML sitemap is an ideal tool to give the crawlers the best access to Magento 2 store.
