Import Export Categories

In the default Magento, you need to create each category manually, then complete all necessary data of that category in the backend. If you are running a big business with so many categories, this manual creation takes too much time and human resources to implement. Therefore, Import Export Categories for Magento 2 extension is developed to help you simplify your work by importing and exporting categories via a CSV file.

By importing categories to Magento 2 websites, all categories are quickly created along with necessary related data. Besides, exporting becomes more simple than ever with one click, and all available categories are exported to a CSV file as well.

Key Features

Import Categories To Websites Via A CSV File

This Import Export Categories for Magento 2 extension allows you to freely download a sample CSV file right in the Import settings. This CSV file requires you to complete all data of categories to be imported such as category ID, store ID, parent ID, name, description, category products, and so on. Before importing to the website, you should validate the imported data by uploading the CSV file and click the Check Data button.

If the data is valid, the module displays a notification message and the Import button appears to click and start the Import process. In case the data is invalid due to some errors, you cannot Import categories and the module also shows those issues to be fixed.

Display A Message About The Import Result

A successful notification is shown right after you complete the import process without any troubles. In case there are any errors, the module also gives a list of issues for you to fix timely.

Export Categories Into A CSV File

When it comes to categories export, this extension helps you to export in the blink of an eye. You can export all categories available on the website to a CSV file or export specific categories based on category ID or store view ID.

The most significant benefit is saving more time, effort, and even costs than manually creating each category one by one like in the default Magento. With the only CSV file, you can create a lot of categories along with their related data at once. Therefore, you don’t need to spend much time working in the backend as before. Just some clicks and everything is done.
