KEY FEATURES

Restrict permissions to categories and CMS pages for each customer group

Catalog Permission for Magento 2 extension allows admins to restrict catalogs by customer groups. The admins can set permissions for each catalog so that only specific customer groups can view it. This restriction can also be applied to CMS pages, which means the admins can set permissions for customer groups to access some CMS Pages only.

Redirect customers to the chosen pages (404 Page, Privacy Policy page…)

When customers enter a viewer-restricted catalogs/CMS pages, they will be redirected to a page chosen by admins, for example, 404 Page, Privacy Policy Page...

Display a customizable error message to notify the redirected customers

Besides being redirected to a CMS page, customers also see an error message which notifies them that they can’t view the intended page due to the admin's restriction. For example: “The page you requested is not available for your view. We are sorry for the inconvenience”. Admins can fully customize this message.

Disable the restricted catalogs/CMS pages on the menu and layered navigation

If the admins want to avoid letting customers enter the restricted catalogs/CMS pages, the admins can hide that catalogs/CMS pages away to prevent customers’ attempt to open them. Catalog Permission for Magento 2 extension allows disabling link of restricted catalogs/CMS pages on the menu and layered navigation.

Apply the parent category setting on its sub-categories

Catalog Permission for Magento 2 extension holds a unique feature that differentiates it from other similar extensions. The extension can apply the catalog permission setting of the parent category on its sub-categories.

For example, Man Clothes is the parent category, which consists of two sub-categories: Tops, and Bottoms.

If the parent category Man Clothes is customer-restricted, the two sub-categories Tops and Bottoms are also restricted.

BENEFITS

The perfect tool for B2B category permissions

Catalog Permission for Magento 2 extension is the quick and easy tool to limit access to specific catalogs for Wholesale customers only. This restriction means other customer groups can’t view specific catalogs unless they belong to the Wholesale customer group. The catalog permission helps to emphasize the exclusiveness of wholesalers and boost special promotion for the B2B segment.

Advanced permissions to target customers better

Creating the restriction of catalogs and CMS pages to specific customer groups also target customers better. Because customers are redirected to the suitable pages for their view, they have a much better experience. For example, if a private discount catalog is only available for the wholesale but other customers can also see it, they certainly feel like being left out and can leave the website immediately.
