If you need to reserve inventory for a customer for a certain period of time, you can use Brainacts' Inventory Reservation extension. Inventory Reservation holds the specified inventory for your customers with the ability to buy it later. Inventory Reservation extension ensures availability of the needed items for the consumers or dealers during order capture.

The admin can reserve inventory quantities for a specific customer. This means that the reserved inventory cannot be purchased by another customer unless the reservation is canceled. Your clients can be sure that the reserved products will be available for them to purchase during the reservation period. Customers can see the new reservation tab in the “My Account” section and purchase reserved items.
