Overview

The pre-order extension allows store owners to sell out-of-stock products in advance to retaining customers. This extension makes an easy and simple configuration for store owners to replace a ‘add to cart ’ button with  ‘pre-order’, ‘backorders’, or some other else they required and add a custom notes pre-order item from the backend.  The admin can set whether the customer will pay a full or partial price for the pre-order product. Customers can also select the payment mode like full or partial payment for the pre-order products.

This extension also allows buyers to easily pre-order or backorder products which is not yet for immediate delivery. And, the admin can set a pre-order warning message to be displayed with order information and allow to automatically add a warning to transactional emails. Configure these settings from the backend and the Pre-order extension is ready to function on the store frontend.

Pre-order product with Partial Payment:

If partial payment enables in the backend, the partial payment message and select payment mode are shown in the frontend.

Placing Order

Case 1 – Full Payment: The product purchase process is the same as before, the customer can make the full payment including the shipping cost, and place the order.

Case 2 – Partial Payment: In partial payment, two separate order IDs are created for completing the pre-order process. In the first order, the customer pays some percentage of the product’s price plus the free shipping cost. And when the product is available(back to stock) on the store, the customer receives complete payment and order URL in email notification for making the shipping cost and remaining payment using the order complete URL.
