This extension enhances the breadcrumbs block in Magento. It covers two big page types in Magento: product pages and cms pages. It also adds the JSON-LD markup for breadcrumbs which is a must-have for modern Internet shops.

With this extension your product pages will always display the whole category tree on your product pages. Common issue in Magento system is that the breadcrumbs on product pages depend on the referrer page. For example: if you come from the sale category to the product page T-shirt the breadcrumbs would look like this: Home > Sale > T-shirt. But if you come from a search engine or some external website the breadcrumbs would look like this: Home > T-shirt.

This is not good because your website has two different versions of the page for the same URL. With this extension the breadcrumbs will always be the same and they will represent the category tree of the product. So the breadcrumbs for the T-shirt product would be: Home > Men > T-Shirts > T-shirt. We suggest to disable categories path for product URLs (in System > Configuration set the option Catalog > Search Engine Optimizations > Use Categories Path for Product URLs to No). That way your shop will have less duplicated content but the breadcrumbs will show the full category tree.

CMS Pages

This extension creates breadcrumbs for cms pages based on URL. For example: you have a cms page with URL /help (identifier=help) and on that page you have links to some help resources (for example an FAQ page with identifier=help/faq). If you go to /help/faq in standard Magento your breadcrumbs would look like this: Home > FAQ. This extension adds additional breadcrumbs based on the URL. So breadcrumbs for the FAQ would look like this: Home > Help > FAQ. It’s obvious that it helps your customers to better navigate through the shop.

With this feature you can create your own cms page tree with unlimited number of levels.

With this extension your shop will have a JSON-LD markup for breadcrumbs. Not only for cms and product pages but for all page types. This helps search engines to better understand your page which will improve your shop’s SEO score.
