Overview

Back to top

Shipping Suite extension includes three smart tools: Table Rates, Shipping Rules, and Shipping Restrictions. Table Rates tool helps to make an unlimited number of shipping methods with flexible rates. Accurately calculate shipping using combinations of a destination address, order subtotal, cart weight and price. Assign any shipping method you make to a certain product or to a group of products.

Shipping Rules allow you to apply certain rules to any custom or default shipping method. Rules are based on different simple or complex product conditions and shopping cart attributes. Benefit from additional options of delivery surcharge, discount or change shipping rates based on your business needs and shipping strategy.

Shipping Restrictions tool is assigned to make and apply any number of restrictions to custom or default shipping methods. Base shipping methods on a different product, cart and customer attributes, simple and complex conditions. Provide visitors with information about restrictions and take advantage of the legal and cost-effective shipping process.

Custom Shipping Methods & Rates

  • Ship free for certain shipping types;
  • Add a note and a catchy icon for a method;
  • Specify a shipping method label to all the store views;
  • Adjust a minimal and a maximal rate or sum up rates for the mixed-type card;
  • Apply a shipping method to a specific store or a customer group.

Use these settings for every rate:

  • Apply rate to specific products and product groups;
  • Set rates according to shipping parameters;
  • Select a type of rate: percent, flat or rates combination;
  • Adjust and show an estimated delivery time in days;
  • Combine rates to apply them to any specific requirements;
  • Use shipping types to set specific rates for different product groups.

Shipping Suite extension will help you in various custom shipping methods and rate cases, for example:

  • When you want to set free shipping for your “Summer collection” or any special group of goods using shipping types;
  • In case you need to charge $3 per order and 1% of the product price at the same time;
  • You need to assign higher rates than usual to fragile or toxic goods, extra-large items or products located far from warehouses;
  • You desire to make a new method "In-store pick up" with the delivery within 2 days;
  • In case a customer buys 10 or more items from a certain storehouse, you can offer him or her very cheap shipping;
  • Set a combined rule: apply a $5 flat rate or percentage for orders with the total weight from 5 to 10 pounds and ф price between $15 and $75 when 5 or fewer products are added to the cart.

Shipping Rules & Restrictions

You can make a shipping rule or a restriction based on:

  • A certain delivery of a shipping method;
  • Conditions (postcode, shipping address line and other);
  • Rules of discounts or coupons codes;
  • Store views or customer groups;
  • Days of the week and time.

Available key settings for the rules and conditions:

  • Modify rates by individual products or whole orders;
  • Apply free shipping to certain products;
  • Surcharge, replace or discount rates preset by methods and couriers;
  • Use a grid for mass actions with rules and restrictions;
  • Control tax and discounts inclusion.

Cases of using shipping rules and restrictions:

  • Increase UPS shipping cost from $10 to $15 or reduce to $2 to create a reduction;
  • Add $25 shipping surcharge for the whole order and $5 + 10% of each individual price of the product;
  • Set no shipping discount for the whole order, but a 5% discount from each individual product price;
  • For example, DHL proposes some shipping methods such as land, air, sea shipments, and others. You want to restrict only DHL ground shipping method instead of blocking them all;
  • Block a delivery method for very heavy or very small orders;
  • Restrict ground mail methods of a certain carrier for perishable products because it usually takes about a week to deliver goods like these;
  • Exclude ground mail from delivery methods in case an order consists of premium brands;
  • Remove next-day delivery shipping method for the products that are temporally out of stock.

Advanced Setting Features

Customized conditions

CSV import and export for methods and rates

In addition to the manual edition, you can import or export a CSV file with shipping table rates in a few minutes for the flexible management of your shipping process.
