Import Products extension lets you create as many import profiles as you need and update your catalog automatically without custom development. You can use any kind of file and configure the mapping right in the admin panel. This way, you will be able to import any product data you need without spending hours adjusting the file structure. Create Multi-purpose Import Profiles
Sync your catalogs across different systems using the profiles which can do their tasks simultaneously. Choose different file formats, sources and data to import to achieve the maximal level of automatization. How it works: for instance, the first profile can help you import only new products from your supplier catalog, the second one can automatically update prices according to the file from your marketing department, and the third profile regularly updates stock data from your warehouse documentation. Each of them can be executed by schedule or manually.
Process Any Product Data You Need
Import interface has a tree structure: first, you choose the main entity to synchronize (e.g. product attributes), and then add any subentities you want (e.g. color, size, manufacture, etc.). This kind of structure lets you make the import process as flexible as possible since you can quickly create products with the must-have information only or with complex configurations. The extension works with all types of products and any product-related information, which means that you can import items with categories, reviews, images, cross-sells, etc.
Configure Fields Mapping
The files from various sources have different structure and titles of columns. But the extension is designed to work with any file - all you need to do is to map fields from Magento and the file. In other words, just fill in the titles of the columns in the appropriate fields so that Magento could understand which column to use to import specific data.
Modify Data Before Importing
No need to change the data in the import file beforehand - you can do it automatically by choosing the required modifiers during profile configuration. The feature has two main goals: reduce the time spent on manual management and make data suitable for Magento standards.
Types of modifiers you can use:
- Text Modifiers: change the text by appending, prepending, capitalizing, etc.
- Numeric Modifiers: apply number modifications, e.g. rounding prices.
- Date Modifiers: provide a suitable date format, e.g. d/m/y.
- Custom Modifiers: replace the output of one field with the value of another.
Automatically Filter Items
Sometimes the file has too much information that you don't need. In such cases, you can upload only relevant data using filtering. Filers can be applied for any field - import only configurable products, the new ones, or even only those that have a specific attribute.
Choose Formats And Sources
- Available file formats: CSV, XML, XLSX and ODS.
- Available import sources: File Upload, FTP/SFTP, Direct URL,
Google Sheets, REST API Endpoint, Dropbox, Google Drive.
Validate Configuration
To avoid errors and make sure everything is configured correctly, validate the files. The extension will show you if there are any mistakes that should be corrected before starting the process.
Download Sample Files
To make configuration as simple as possible, use two types of sample files. The basic file contains all possible fields, and you can download this file before setting the profile. If you have already chosen the fields to import, the file will be modified according to your configuration.
