While Magento 2 is already well optimized for high loads and supports full page caching and Varnish by default, a lot of things can be enhanced to speed up your store even further. The Full Page Cache Warmer extension for Magento 2 offers the solution for a common problem of cache updating due to a number of reasons.

With the module, you can automate the process of cache warming to make it invisible for customers and provide them with a better shopping experience. A special warmer tool requests pages with outdated cache during periods of time with minimal server loads. Moreover, Google renders stores with higher loading speed faster and places them at the top of search results.

Main benefits you get with the extension:

  •  Increase conversion rate by loading product pages faster
  •  Drive more organic traffic with the optimized SEO ranking position
  •  Enhance user experience by delivering content faster

Key Features:

  • Choose between 6 algorithms to prioritize pages for cache warming
  • Warm up mobile pages separately
  • Exclude specific blocks from caching with the Hole Punch feature
  • Automatically update the cache after any catalog change
  • Analyze the warmer’s effectiveness with detailed reports
  • Monitor Varnish Cache coverage

Fully Automated Cache Warming Process

Full Page Cache Warmer extension for Magento 2 automatically warms the most valuable pages first.  But you as a store owner are free to choose which pages are considered to be "valuable". Choose the most suitable warming algorithm:

  • Process pages according to their types
  • Upload text file with the list of URLs
  • Provide XML sitemap
  • Use the XML sitemap and the text file together
  • Warm pages based on customers activity
  • NEW: apply page types and text file together

Then, these pages get to the warming queue and the module starts processing them using cron. You are able to configure the extension to specify the cache warming process details.

Adjust The Performance

Configure performance settings according to the server you are using. Plan the optimal server load and the most appropriate time for cache warming.

  • Schedule queue generation: choose a cron job time to generate the cache warming queue, e.g. you can do it when the load on your server is minimal
  • Schedule specific time for warming: choose the frequency of the processing
  • Speed up the crawling: activate Multi-Process Warming to include several URLs per one crawling request.  Adjust the number of parallel processes for the crawler

Extension Performance Reports

The Full Page Cache Warmer extension enables you to control the cache warming process with the help of visual performance reports and a special cache warmer log. Monitor the effectiveness in the log and track the warming progress using carefully arranged data.

On top of that, the module allows you to select page combinations for cache warming using these conditions:

  • customer groups;
  • currencies;
  • stores.

With the auto-update cache feature, you can be sure that newly created or updated pages will be automatically added to the queue and warmed.

New: Track Varnish Coverage

Now the module is fully compatible with the Varnish cache type. Check the Varnish cache coverage in the warmer log and monitor the activity in the performance reports.

New: Remove Specific Blocks From The Queue

It's not recommended to cache dynamic or unique block individual for shoppers (e.g. shopping cart or checkout).  With the Hole Punch feature, you can mark certain blocks of a page to be loaded each time and never cached while still working with the rest of the page.

New: Take User Agents Into Account

If you have the Amasty Google Page Speed Optimizer extension installed, you can warm pages according to particular user agents. The feature supports WebP format and various image resolutions.

Extra Cache Warmer Features:

  • HTTP authentication
  • Certificate verification
  • Compatible with Magento 2 Varnish Cache and default File Cache
  • Custom delay interval for crawler requests
  • Fresh page versions for Google
  • Better SEO rankings with faster load time
  • User-friendly interface
