The extension prevents your Magento store backend tabs and pages from being edited by multiple admin users simultaneously and helps your store data to stay safe. All tabs and pages that are being edited will be marked with a clear tab. Moreover, you can allow certain admin users to bypass the lock or define custom periods for lock duration.

Secure lock for backend tabs and pages

With the Edit Lock extension you can prevent the following backend pages from being simultaneously edit:

  • products;
  • customers;
  • product attributes;
  • shopping cart price rules;
  • CMS pages;
  • CMS blocks.

Moreover, when someone edits data, other admin users can open this page and view it as the module prevents changed data from being overlapped.

Flexible edit lock configuration

The extension displays which tabs are being edited. You need to hover a mouse over particular lock icon to see the store admin who edits the page. Special icon is supported on the customer, order, and other grids.

Also, you can specify maximal time for lock duration. The page will be unavailable for modifying within the set period of time since the first user started editing it.

Advanced features for super admin users

Store admins can override the lock option when needed. The corresponding option is available for custom user roles. Also, with the Edit Lock extension for Magento, you can limit admin actions. Hence, when the user without special privileges edits a page, other users can easily intercept it.
