Customer Note for Magento 2 allows the admin or other admin users to add internal notes for any customers. These notes are available on the order view page and customer view page in the admin. Customer Note allows admin users to add specific notes for any customer, such as "Ship all orders with FedEx" or "Send paper invoice". Admin users can add, edit, and delete notes from the customer view page and order view in the admin. If admins enable modal popup from configuration then a popup with the Customer Note will appear each time the admin users open an order. It displays all internal notes for customer who placed an order on the order view page, so the admin user will make order processing accordingly.

 

How Customer Note works?

Admin users need to add notes for customer on the customer view page or order view page in the admin. Whenever a customer places an order when the admin has already added a Customer Note for that customer, the Customer Note will appear in a popup so that the admin will be able to process the order accordingly. Admins are able to edit existing notes from the customer view page, order view page, or Customer Note grid from the admin.

  • Admin able to inline edit note from grid by clicking on any row.
  • Admin able to disable Customer Note from Admin -> Store -> Configuration -> Customer note -> General -> Select "No" from Enable module dropdown.
