Overview

AltaPay's Gateway for Magento 2 provides merchants with access to a full set of business-ready international payment and accounting functionality. With this extension, merchants are able to receive payments through Visa, Mastercard, Dankort, iDeal, PayPal, MobilePay, Klarna and ViaBill. To use the extension an account with AltaPay is needed. Once the account is established, the merchant receives API credentials which will link the extension to the payment gateway. With the connection in place, the merchant has the possibility of setting up to five different payment methods, where each one will be mapped with one from the payment gateway. These methods can: have custom names (on store level), be set to a particular language and set on "Auto capture" mode (usually used for downloadable products). In addition, the merchant can set particular order states based on the payment state (e.g., flow: before payment with order state: pending payment). All of these custom changes, on order or payment method level, aim to provide a seamless experience to the consumer when the merchant has a multi-store setup within one installation. However, this extension for Magento is not only about receiving payments but also order management. Once the payment is successful, the merchant can make full or partial captures by navigating to Sales->Orders->View order->Invoice menu. The captures can be made on order lines level, hence the possibility of partial captures. Once a successful capture is made, the refund functionality becomes available and accessible via Sales->Invoices->View invoice->Credit memo menu. As capture, the refund functionality is also applicable on order lines level, including shipping. Moreover, the entire order journey is visible to the merchant in the order view like a timeline.

Account & Pricing

In order to use this extension and our service, you will first need to set up a merchant account with Valitor. These accounts are where your customer’s card details get sent to for authorization. Upon authorization, the Valitor merchant bank account transfers the money to your retail bank account. Additional service fees may apply. Get started by contacting us here and we will get back to you right away with a personalized offer that fits your business.
