Overview

Back to top

Check if you don't have conflicts in rewrites between installed modules. If you are using several external modules, you can have conflicts between your installed extensions. It can happen that some extensions rewrites the same classes, this conflicts are the reason that your module doesn't work properly. This module will find all rewrites in configuration files of model, block and helper classes, and will display them in the grid as conflicted or not.

Example of conflict

Two modules overwrite the same Mage_Customer_Model_Customer class, but other methods. There is a conflict between the modules, depending on the order in which they are loaded, the native method getName() or validateAddress() only will be overwritten.

class Company_ModuleA_Model_Cusomer extends Mage_Customer_Model_Customer
{
    public function getName()
    {
        ....
    }
}

class Company_ModuleB_Model_Cusomer extends Mage_Customer_Model_Customer
{
    function validateAddress(array $data, $type = 'billing')
    {
        ....
    }
}

This means that one of the module will not work as it should and one of the method won't be overwritten. You will be able to see this kind of issues in our grid and think about a solution.

Key Features

  • Check on the admin grid if there is more than 1 module which extends the same class
