Product Questions for Magento 1 is designed to arrange effective communication between merchants and their customers on any product or service related issues. As it usually happens, when customers would like to know more about products or services, they have three ways to follow: a) to find a merchant; b) to get on touch with a store owner c) or even to find products or services elsewhere.
The functionality implemented within Product Questions extension for Magento makes the process of asking and answering questions simple, allows customers to get needed information, and prevents them from leaving a store without shopping.
The Product Questions extension for Magento 1 has a strategic importance for any business thanks to the ability to:
- improve customer shopping experience by timely delivering relevant product and service related information;
- make shopping process seamless that positively impacts the overall process of the final decision making;
- create unique and useful content via displaying the questions and answers on product pages, which is good for both customers and your website SEO.
Ask a question
Each product page contains the ‘Ask question’ button which enables a drop-down question section. Then the customer should put some contact information and the question itself choosing between two question statuses: private or public.
Get the answer
After the question is checked, it can be answered either by admin or displayed to be answered by other customers, or even store guests. More to that, the customers who bought the product or service mentioned can be notified by email that someone has a question related to that product and invited to answer it.
Admin decides whether questions and answers are displayed on the product page or not with setting the number of visible questions per page and per question. The order of answers can be defined by their rating or issue date.
There is the tab that contains all questions, answers, and their statuses in the customer account.
The various types of notifications can be enabled within this extension: a) admin is notified if there are new questions and answers; b) customers are notified if they are requested to answer some questions. The notifications are sent by personalized emails, equipped with relevant content, direct links, unsubscribe options, etc.
