Store Credit and Refund extension for Magento 2 introduces an in-store currency that can be used to process refunds or reward customers. The currency can then be spent on any orders customer places. The refunds are processed directly from the Credit Memo page. The extension introduces the Transactions section where the storeowner can manually add or subtract points from the customer's balance, either per customer or via mass actions.
For the store frontend customers get a dedicated account section where they can get an overview of the store credit movement and check the credit balance. At the product pages alongside the regular product price Store Credit and Refund extension can display a price discounted with credit available promoting purchases.
Refund happens – a sad truth. It doesn't have to be the store's fault, in fact in most of the cases it isn't. But when the refund happens the main concern of the storeowner is to keep customer loyal to the store, that's where Store Credit and Refund extension shines. By offering a store credit refund instead of a monetary refund the storeowner keeps customer's money to the store and promotes additional purchases increasing customer's loyalty. Not to say that the extension cuts the refund time by avoiding any monetary transactions. Moreover, the extension can serve as a promotional tool – the storeowner can reward customers on different occasions with a little something to credit balance, or wish a happy birthday in a most pleasant way for the customer – a discount.
