Overview
Back to topThe aim of Abandoned Cart Email extension for Magento 2 is to remind customers who have left items in the cart to get back to the store. The reminder emails are created with the help of 'rules' - an extension entity that controls what email, when and on what conditions is sent to the customer. The storeowner can create any number of rules targeting different groups of customers – customers who left particular items in the cart, or customers with cart total exceeding certain amount.
By default, the cart is considered abandoned after an hour since the last product has been added/removed from the cart. The emails are sent to customers after the time specified in the Abandoned Cart Email rule. For quick management of all sent and scheduled emails the extension offers a 'Mail Log' where the storeowner can manually manage all outgoing reminders. To make sure all the rules are configured properly Abandoned Cart Email extension comes with the 'Test Mode', that allows sending all the reminders to the specified email address.
The extension allows reaching customers who, for some reason, left the carefully selected items in the cart. According to statistics almost 75% of customers leave their carts across the US stores. Every abandoned cart is a missed sales opportunity and a lost profit, and even if the abandoned cart email opening rate is 10% it can be potentially turned into striking 30% increase in sales if every customer proceeds to the checkout. That is why having an email reminder tool such as Abandoned Cart Email is essential for every Magento store.
