Overview

Add collect in store (a.k.a. click and collect or store pickup) functionality to your Magento 2 website. This extension allows you to administer physical collection stores and let your customers specify where they would like to pick up their orders. Any number of stores may be added, each with their details including coordinates (automatically generated from the address), allowing the customer to make a choice of where is best to collect from. The customer can search for their nearest store by location, or using their devices GPS, and be shown exactly where it is on Google Maps, all integrated into the Magento checkout steps.

The module also adds a collect in store area to the product detail page, allowing customers to check which stores a particular product is available from, again using address-based search or GPS location from the device. Each store has its own landing page URL which can be populated with WYSIWYG text. The store landing pages can be accessed via a top-level "Our Stores" landing page which lists all the available stores. The store landing pages can also be accessed via a "more details" link for each store returned when searching for stores. There is also an option for each store landing page to link to a listing page containing all the products which are available to collect at that store. Store to Product mapping is managed in the Magento admin, in the product edit form as a standard attribute.

Account & Pricing

You will need a Google API key with "Google Places API Web Service", "Google Geolocate" and "Google Maps JavaScript API" enabled to use this module. Additional fees apply. For the pricing information of this service please see https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/

GPS location services will only be available on compatible devices/browsers.

 How Does It Work?

This extension will add "Collect in store" as an option at the start of the checkout shipping section. Choosing this option negates the need to enter "Shipping Address" details instead the user is presented with a store search screen. Here the user may search for their closest store by address and country or using their devices' GPS functionality. The number of results returned and the size of the search area can be configured in the admin panel.

On selecting a store the customer can continue through the rest of the checkout steps as usual. The customer can still click back to change their choice of the store if required, using the back button will jump the customer to the correct location depending on the type of delivery they chose.

Customers are aided when searching for a store by auto-completion on the address entry coming from Google maps auto-complete based on the customer's current location. If you only have a few stores the search can be disabled. Instead, your users will be immediately presented with a list of your stores and their locations on Google map.

The collection stores can be configured at any time in the admin panel. Each store can be assigned an address and GPS coordinates (auto-generated from the address). Additional info such as opening times or special notes can also be added via the WYSIWYG editor.
