Back to topThe Product Review Captcha extension allows the seller to add a captcha feature on the Product Review form.
Buyers who visit an online store may leave a review for the product that was recently purchased. Genuine shopper feedback is very useful for sellers to improve their product offerings and services. However, websites also attract undesired attention from bots and other automated tools, solely intent on flooding the site with spam activity on the product review page and to generate improper/false reviews. This greatly affects the integrity of the site and lowers the product review quality.
Now buyers can prevent such spam activity by adding a captcha on the product review form which uses a challenge response technique to discern bot activity from genuine visitor traffic. Distorted and stylised text/numbers generally prove difficult for bots to interpret but recognisable by humans. This helps to prevent bot inputs and allow genuine review submissions on the store site.
